Introducing the New Kia Niro EV
The Kia Niro EV is a model that stands out around Briarwood. This SUV from our new Kia lineup received several key upgrades for the new model year. The lighting and front fascia appear refreshed, so there are now some stronger angles worked into the design. Inside the cabin, the Niro EV has a bold look with angled surfaces, prominent technological components, and several sleek, almost minimalistic design elements. We know that customers will also appreciate that the vehicle's range is better than ever.

Interior and Exterior
The cabin can comfortably fit five passengers, and rear-seat passengers can have almost 37 inches of legroom. The amount of cargo space works in the Niro EV's favor. When the rear seats are down, the cargo capacity is about 64 cubic feet. When upright, there's approximately 23 cubic feet of space to store items. The overall design of the Kia Niro EV is interesting. Ambient lighting can help set the mood, and the two-spoke steering wheel feels a bit futuristic. Instead of a traditional gear shifter, the Niro EV has a rotary shifter. Also, it can have vegan leather upholstery and heated and ventilated front seats. With its alloy pedals, the Wave trim feels sportier.
On the outside of the SUV, chrome and black elements contrast nicely with each other and add to the modern aesthetic. Every new Niro EV comes with roof rails and a black roof spoiler, as well as heated side mirrors with LED turn signals. Some of the Wave's benefits include a smart power tailgate, a sunroof, and LED fog lights. Both trims come standard with rain-sensing wipers, which can come in handy when you need to navigate inclement weather around Brooklyn.
Performance
The Kia SUV feels lively and can be exciting to drive around the Bronx. Its electric motor gives it 201 horsepower and 188 pound-feet of torque. Like other electrified vehicles, the Niro EV has regenerative braking. This aspect allows the vehicle to capture the energy released during braking, and it can use that energy to help power its motor. Paddles mounted on the steering wheel let drivers adjust their performance. Some drivers may want to maximize this feature as they drive around Long Island City.

Technology
A pair of 10.25-inch displays will immediately grab people's attention in the cabin. The instrument display provides useful information, like the remaining range, and the center touchscreen comes with navigation, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. In addition, the infotainment system offers SiriusXM. Through the Kia Connect program, people can use smartphones to communicate with their vehicles. The program allows people to remotely start their engines and lock their doors, for example. As a bonus, the Niro EV has a wireless charging pad and multiple USB ports in models you can custom order through our dealership.
Safety
Kia has integrated driver-assist technology into this new SUV to keep you safe. Every new Niro EV has forward collision-avoidance assist, lane departure warning, and rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist. The list of standard features is quite long, and it can be so reassuring to know that one's vehicle is ready to correct steering or braking if necessary. The Wave even offers a remote smart parking function to assist with parking.
The upscale Kia Niro EV is a very attractive model for a variety of reasons. Let us know if you'd like to learn more by contacting us at your leisure.
